Peterbilt's Alternative-Fueled Vehicles
Peterbilt offers the industry’s most comprehensive lineup of alternative fueled medium- and heavy-duty products, including hybrid trucks and natural gas powered trucks. Peterbilt’s leadership in this segment of the market has resulted from large investments in engineering, product design, and manufacturing capability across North America.

Hybrid Offerings
Peterbilt offers several medium-duty hybrid trucks to meet a variety of needs and applications. The Model 330 is a Class 6-rated vehicle, available in truck configuration for pick-up and delivery or utility applications. As a city delivery vehicle, the Model 330 provides that right combination of maneuverability and ease of operation that makes it safe and easy to work in an urban environment. The addition of the Eaton Hybrid system allows the Model 330 to capture energy during braking and low speed operation and use that energy to help power the truck in stop-and-go traffic.
The Model 337 Hybrid is available in both truck and tractor configurations, and is ideal for beverage distribution, regional hauling, or utility work. In fact, the Model 337 Hybrid can average up to 30% better fuel economy by using the hybrid system instead of the engine to power the PTO, reducing fuel consumption and emissions.

Natural Gas Offerings
As the leader in natural gas vehicle offerings, Peterbilt has a truck to meet almost any application. The complete lineup of Peterbilt natural gas vehicles includes the Models 382 and lightweight 384, the vocational Model 365, and the Model 320 Low Cab Forward, all powered by the Cummins-Westport spark-ignited ISL-G engine. Rated at 320 horsepower and 1,000 lb.-ft. of torque and able to run on either compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied natural gas (LNG), the ISL-G provides the power get the job done, without the need for diesel aftertreatment.

The Model 382, available in both truck and tractor configurations, features a short 110” BBC (bumper to back of cab) giving it exceptional maneuverability. With a cost-effective medium-duty style interior and easy control layout, the Model 382 is perfect for beverage delivery, regional hauling, or vocational work.

The Model 384 tractor is available with a number of lightweight options that allow you to maximize load and revenue. It’s aerodynamic shape and Class 8 features make it the perfect truck for regional and less than truckload (LTL) operations.

The Model 365 vocational truck brings the power of natural gas to the work site for demanding applications such as construction or refuse. Also available for refuse applications, the Model 320 provides an easy to maneuver package that can operate in the toughest environments.

For more demanding applications, Peterbilt offers several vehicles powered by the 15-liter Westport GX engine. Running on LNG, this engine offers up to 475 horsepower and 1,750 lb.-ft. of torque in the vocational Models 367 and 388, and the Model 386 aerodynamic tractor. For over-the-road (OTR) applications, the Model 386 tractor has earned the EPA’s SmartWay designation, the only alternative-fueled vehicle to do so. Each Westport powered GX vehicle is available in a wide variety of truck and tractor configurations with multiple combinations of tanks and features to maximize range while keeping weight down.

Coming next year, Peterbilt will offer the all new Cummins Westport ISX12-G natural gas engine. Designed to run either on CNG or LNG, this engine will be available in several Peterbilt models covering a variety of applications.
