Significant Benefits – Lower Fuel Usage and Emissions/Quieter Operation
The Odyne plug-in hybrid drive system provides launch assist, regenerative braking, high capacity electrical energy storage, flexible operation tailored to the application and zero emissions or significantly lower emissions at the job site. Quiet operation means safer working conditions and an extended workday.
The Odyne system reduces fleet operating and maintenance costs, and depending on duty cycle, enables large trucks to obtain fuel economy improvements of up to 50% or greater, compared to traditional diesel engines. This efficiency results in fuel savings of up to 1750 gallons per year over the life of equipment. Odyne’s solution helps fleet managers control budgets and take advantage of the more consistent cost of stored electricity compared to fuel. Plus, the Odyne system has 50 extra horsepower while driving, a benefit which conventional hybrids don’t offer. Odyne’s minimally intrusive design preserves the OEM chassis warranty and provides greater reliability. The Odyne solution is truly unique in the industry and the new benchmark for hybrid performance.
